What are Product Options?

Product Options lets studios offer services to enhance or alter a self-fulfilled product before it's fulfilled. These options usually involve common scenarios like:

  • Purchasing a frame and selecting a style of frame.

  • Purchasing a session fee and toggling an interest in use of premium props.

  • Purchasing a yard sign design and capturing text to apply during fulfillment.

When ordered, Blueprint creates My Service orders the studio can use to manage the service's fulfillment outside of Blueprint.

Creating a new product option

Creating a category

Under My Designs, toggle to Options β†’ Product Options, then select or create a category.

πŸ“ Consider using categories for:

  • Product Types

  • Photography Event Types

If you don't plan on having multiple categories, we recommend creating one studio category - and keeping everything in there.

❗Warning:

  • You'll need at least 1 category before you can create a product option.

  • Sync to save the category before creating new products or services.

Creating a product option

Inside a product option category, select Add Option.

You can create 3 types of product options - a toggle or selection option:

  • Toggle - Yes/No checkbox for customers to opt-in for services.

  • Selection - for offering different levels of a service (Basic, Advanced retouching).

  • Text - To collect customer-entered text.

What details can I add?

Blueprint supports 3 different option types:

  • Toggle

  • Selection

  • Text*

πŸ“ Note: The text option is only available for product options.

Whether you're creating image, order, or product options, the types remain the same.
