Most schools have rules for the type of image that can be used for yearbook poses. Many schools even allow multiple yearbook pose selections with different requirements for each.

📝 Does this example look familiar?

Attention Seniors: Please select a yearbook pose using the following guidelines.

  1. Yearbook Pose 1: Cap & Gown attire only, vertical head and shoulders crop, gray background, no props allowed.

  2. Yearbook Pose 2: Any vertical, waist-up crop of your choice.

Disclaimer! If an incorrect pose is selected, a pose will be selected for you.

Whether it’s dress code guidelines, background limitations, or allowed crops, you now have the ability to control which subject images are available in the shop for each YB1 and YB2 poses. No more making sure customers followed the list of rules you posted for them and no more time spent selecting the correct images when they didn’t. With Yearbook Selection Image Attributes, only images that you preselect will appear to your customer when they choose their yearbook pose(s).

Choose available images for Yearbook Pose Selections

  1. Navigate to the Images tab inside your Job.

  2. Click on one or more images to select. (Images can be deselected by clicking on the selected image or clicking the “x” in the top-left of the blue ribbon selection menu.) Tip: Hold Shift + click to select a range of images.

  3. Click on the Available for YB 1 and/or Available for YB 2 under Attributes in the side-panel menu to apply the attribute(s) to the selected image(s). Click on the selected attribute again to remove it from the selected image(s).

  4. When the Available for YB 1 attribute is added to images, only these images will be presented to your customer when they select their first yearbook pose image. When the Available for YB 2 attribute is added to images, only these images will be presented to your customer when they select their second yearbook pose image.

📢 Don’t forget to enable Yearbook Poses inside your Job Settings so that your customers will be prompted to make their selection(s) when they log in to the shop. Learn more by clicking here.

Quickly filter images with Yearbook Selection Attributes

  1. Navigate to the Images tab inside your Job.

  2. Click Available for YB 1 or Available for YB 2 under Quick Image Filters to view images available to customers for each yearbook pose selection.

📝 What is the difference between Yearbook 1, Yearbook 2, Available for YB1, and Available for YB2?

  • Available for YB1 or Available for YB2 are attributes applied to images by the studio in Blueprint to limit the pool of images your customers may choose from when selecting their desired yearbook pose(s).

  • Yearbook 1 and Yearbook 2 attributes are automatically applied to images once your customer selects their desired pose. Or studios can manually apply these attributes to images inside Blueprint. Once applied, these attributes can be used for generating custom exports, such as a PSPA export.
