Capturing and editing images in a job is the main benefit of Smart Workflow, unlocking valuable features like:

  • Capturing images with Smart Tag (tethered)

  • Sorting images with Smart Sort (QRC, Metadata)

  • Reviewing Images

  • Editing Images

How studios capture and edit with Blueprint depends on the individual job's needs.

In this module, we'll break down what the community largely follows as a broad workflow that is broken up into 4 stages:

  1. Prepare - export slate cards; prepare workstations or equipment for a photoshoot.

  2. Capture - run the photoshoot and sync workstations - or upload and sort images.

  3. Review - audit all images to ensure all visible images are ready for processing.

  4. Edit - crop, color correct, extract, etc. - get those images "order ready".

Editing

Review Images

After the photoshoot, editors begin post-production work when all images are assigned to subjects and synced - starting with reviewing images.

During review, the objective is to confirm all visible images are ready to proceed as-is with editing.

Edit Images

Crop, color correct, extract - do all the things needed to make images "order ready" for purchasing online or assigning for any collected pre-orders.

What's next?

Order Fulfillment

With images captured, assigned, reviewed, and edited - it's time to focus on using those images for order fulfillment, completing actions like:

  • Activating the job for online proof ordering

  • Assigning images to pre-orders

  • Bulk-Adding orders (like No-Order Forms, Coach Team Photos, etc.)

  • Releasing orders for fulfillment

  • Ensuring automation of release and direct ship fulfillment of subsequent orders

  • and more!
