Jobs are critical to any studio's day-to-day activity with Blueprint.
β
π‘ Think of Jobs as folders with all subjects, images, and orders for a photoshoot.
This is where the real work gets done, like:
Creating and managing subject data.
Exporting photoshoot materials like Barcodes, QR Codes, Photog Reports, etc.
Preparing workstations for template printing and tethered capture. *
Sorting, reviewing, and editing images. *
Exporting service exports like Admin CDs, PSPA, PowerSchool, Yearbook CDs, etc.
Managing and releasing orders for fulfillment.
π Note: *Only with Smart Workflow.
In this module, you'll need to have the following completed before moving on:
Jobs
Create a new job.
Apply the right settings for success with the job.
Import subject data.
Merge or group subject data.

Creating a job
Blueprint is a cloud-based solution - meaning all users interact with a local copy of a job on their device, then sync their changes back to the cloud for Blueprint to merge in.
Blueprint's New Job Setup tool breaks up creating a job into sections, with the optional sections available to be set or changed at any point after the job's been created.
Preparing a Job
Use our collection of typical job setups the community uses every day with Blueprint.
π’ Remember:
Nearly any setting can be changed or modified after the job's creation, but it's crucial to get all settings properly applied before picture day or taking orders.
It can be intimating trying to pick the right settings at first, that's why we've prepared the collection above to help get started with typical job setups.
Send us a message with any questions about your job's unique needs!
Importing Data
Inside of a job, use the import tool to upload and organize subject data and images. Studios will typically import subject data at the very least to prepare for a photoshoot.
π What else can the import tool do?
The import tool is very flexible and supports a variety of methods.
What's next?
Capture and Editing
Now that a job has been setup and data has been imported, it's time to focus on preparing and executing the photoshoot - moving and grooving through capture and edit actions like:
Preparing photoshoot materials (QR Codes, Barcodes, etc.)
Preparing workstations for tethered capture
Capturing images with Smart Tag (tethered)
Sorting images with Smart Sort (QR, Metadata)
Reviewing Images
Editing Images
π’ This next module is only applicable for Smart Workflow studios.
The community largely follows a broad workflow that is broken up into 4 stages:
Prepare - export slate cards; prepare workstations or equipment for a photoshoot.
Execute - run the photoshoot and sync workstations - or upload and sort images.
Review - audit all images to ensure all remaining, visible images are ready editing.
Edit - crop, color correct, extract, etc. - get those images "order ready" for fulfillment.
